Upon arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport, you will be met by your Jetara representative and transferred to Mirissa which is on the southern coast of Sri Lanka. Arrive and check into your beach fronted hotel for an afternoon of relaxation. Mirissa is famous for its picturesque beaches, so take your first evening stroll along the beach, watching the glorious sunsets, having dinner of fresh seafood right on the beach. Later, overnight in Mirissa.

Up early for a spectacular morning of whale watching in Mirissa-considered one of the world’s best places to see blue whales, sperm whales, and dolphins. Your whale-watching tour will take you out into the deep waters of the Indian Ocean, where these magnificent creatures can often be seen breaching and swimming gracefully through the waves. The tour is approximately 4-5 hours in length and very family-friendly. In the afternoon, you will be brought back ashore and be at leisure on the magnificent beach of Mirissa, swimming in the crystal-clear waters, or just gaining a food experience at local beach cafes. Following breakfast, proceed to Galle, one of the coastal cities of Sri Lanka and takes about 1.5 hours from Mirissa. Galle is a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its well-preserved Galle Fort, a 16th-century colonial fort built by the Portuguese and later developed by the Dutch. On arrival at Galle, enjoy a guided tour of Galle Fort to explore historical highlights such as the Galle Lighthouse, Dutch Reformed Church, and the Maritime Museum. Take a walk along the ramparts of this fort and enjoy the breathtaking ocean views amidst the charming blend of European and South Asian architecture. After breakfast, you will be taken to Bentota, which is 1.5 hours of drive along the scenic southern coast. Besides beautiful beaches and calm seas, Bentota is very famous for picture-postcard beaches. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and spend the rest of the day enjoying the beautiful beaches of Bentota. You can sunbathe or swim or take a leisurely walk on golden sands. If you are feeling adventurous, there are a variety of water sports available in Bentota too, not excluding jet skiing, windsurfing, and banana boat rides. Enjoy your leisurely breakfast in the morning and proceed to visit a nearby turtle hatchery, where you would learn about sea turtle conservation efforts and have a closer look at baby turtles. This hatchery is devoted to protecting endangered sea turtles; as such, the experience cannot be said to be complete without joining in the release of these baby turtles into the ocean-a memory that will last long in the minds of adults and children alike. Afternoon return to beaches in Bentota for some water sports or simply enjoy the tropical surroundings. Following breakfast, the final morning at leisure to relax by the beach or explore the surroundings at an easy pace. Transferred back to Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo, about a 2-hour drive from Bentota, depending on flight time for departure.
